Post Thanksgiving Holiday Updates

Hey everyone,

How was your Thanksgiving? Did you eat a lot of good food?
I think I'm more excited about leftovers to be honest : ) (Since I don't cook!)

I've been missing these past few days because of the Thanksgiving Holiday here in the US. My mom & younger sister also flew out to Washington from Michigan (3,000 miles) to spend Thanksgiving with me this year. It was my first Turkey Day away from home.

I spent it with my boyfriend's family + friends, my mom and little sister. Of course it was awkward, but you gotta get past awkward before you can become comfortable with new acquaintances. I guess...

I was a bit sad my dad couldn't be here with us, but he has to save his vacation time to fly to visit my grandpa in California. My Grandma just passed away back in March & my Grandpa is old, so my dad needs to be able to use his vacation time from work to visit Grandpa. I'm glad I'm closer to California now, I want to take a trip out there soon to visit my my relatives.

I apologize in advance to those that had packages that were issued to ship 11/24/09. I dropped them off, but I couldn't control when they would be scanned into the USPS system. The post office was closed for the holiday so there is a slight delay in the time they scanned in the delivery confirmation for the packages. You should be able to track them this coming week (tomorrow Monday) when everyone is back at work with their turkey sandwiches for lunch.

Jewelry wise, not much is new ~ apart from being really close to attending another bead fair in Portland, OR (where I had been these past two days).

I haven't had the chance to make anything new, unfortunately.

I've just been working away on Holiday Orders. Many packages will be shipped December 1st, and I thank you for your patience. I'm still here, just trying to catch up and keep up with my orders & e-mails. I also have some new gift wrap supplies for the winter season. They make me happy :) There's just something about Santa, Snowflakes, and Reindeer that really lift my spirit.

My mom and sister Julia fly home on Tuesday, that will be a sad day for me. I think I'll just turn up the Christmas radio station & work on jewelry.

December 5th is coming up shortly & I'm declaring that the last official day to place an order in time for Christmas. All orders placed after the 5th probably won't make it in time for Christmas especially if you're buying from overseas.


~ Some random facts that may or may not interest you ~

1. www.dskjewelry.com is delayed until 2010

2. orders are only accepted via "add to cart" (for the time being)

3. Free First Class Shipping to Anywhere applies until January 1st, 2010

4. I may offer US Domestic Express Mail (pretty much a 2 day or overnight service).

5. I may be ending all International Orders because I just have too many orders, or accept International orders every 3 months (any suggestions on waht to do?)

6. I could keep International Orders but only offer 1 shipping method, that would be the Med. Priority w/ Tracking. All currently International packages only have the Customs Numbers which does not track the package, it just shows that the package has been sent.

7. 24K Gold Plated Copper will be introduced verrrrry soon.

8. Gold Necklaces will be available again come January or February.

9. There are a few "Wooden Wolf" Bracelets available (I enable the previous post, if you're interested scroll down or to my older posts).

I've been K-drama sober for almost 2 and 1/2 years. I'm so tempted to start a series, but if you start a series...you will spend at least 6 hrs straight a day watching episode after episode...

DSK's Everything Bracelets, Necklace & Earrings [November]

Hey everyone : )

Thanks for visiting today. I apologize if I've sounded "bitter" these past few days. Thanks Van, sister of my boyfriend for pointing that out to me today. She's right, I have been a little upset, sad, and mad these past few days.

I've just came across some demanding 'potential' customers who don't know me, or anything about my jewelry, so they felt like they could talked down on me. 'I need this, this and that now, and to be delivered ASAP by 3 days max' ...umm no. (Obviously, they're not my regular readers, visitors, or shoppers). If anything custom orders are on my time, not theirs. They just pulled my mood down. I didn't accept their orders (who would?). I never accept orders from anyone who is rude or disrespectful to me. I take pride in my jewelry, and it would really depress me if meanies were wearing my jewelry around, ya know? lol, I can laugh about it now but still...I felt really taken advantage of and belittled.

Plus, I HATE being talked down on. Don't you?
But I guess that's life, not everyone is friendly & nice!
I surround myself with good friends & great company. =^_^= >^_^<

I do really appreciate all the supportive comments & the really kind e-mails I've received from many of you girls & guys these past few days. I think you really lifted my spirit and because of you all, I'm not going to stop doing what I do. I'm not going to let a few bad apples spoil the bunch!

I'm sitting with Minh in the office watching a video one of the partners of his firm (Bankruptcy) created for their attorneys lulz, it's almost like a tutorial on how to be a lawyer in their firm (their expectations, and examples of how they meet with clients.) He says, you need to have pictures up on the wall, magazines laid out so you paint a very nice environment for the clients. I wish I could find this video and post it online for you guys, it's really fun to watch. Everything he says makes a lot of sense. You know when you go to any office for the first time, and the attorney, orthodontist or whoever asks you, "if you found the place okay?" They're really just trying to make small talk and make you feel more at ease and more trusting? hahaha so sneaky these professionals are! I guess they should make you feel good if you're going to be spending a lot of money on their services.

Anyhow,

Minh kind of got promoted overnight at work, (his firm gave his superior the boot), so now he gets to take control of one of their satellite offices tomorrow. I guess the corporate world is kind of cut throat! Or should I say, "a dog eat dog world" lol

I also came up with a solution to my "Seattle depression." I'm going to fly back to Michigan and spend a month with my family & friend back home. I know it snows in Michigan, but you know what...the snow is beautiful :) especially when the sun is up. Your world is just brighter, and it makes you feel really good inside. Plus, I will have my dog Heidi & cat Tobey to keep me company along with my mom who stays at home all day : ) She used to drive me nuts because she was always home, but now I really appreciate her company! Plus, she cooks for me!

Also...the reason why I kinda sorta took down my youtube videos was because my mom, and dad were all watching my youtube!!! LOL Not only them, but I have many many relative stalkers, it's creepy. I have a record of everyone who visits my page.

I was really mad at my mom for sharing my blog with THE WORLD (aka, entire family). I can never tell her anything that's a secret, cause she will just tell everyone. Drives me nuts, so I never tell her anything anymore.

I hope I don't offend my family, but they kind of made it less comfortable for me to be myself online >:( It sucks when you thought you had your own little world away from the stress of daily life...and now it's just gone because you feel like you're being "watched." It's almost embarrassing.

My mom has 9 siblings...so I have 9 aunts & uncles on her side + my mom's cousins
My dad has 14 siblings...so I have 14 aunts & uncles on my dad side + my dad's cousins

Plus...all my aunts & uncles have children (MY COUSINS)
Cousins, I don't mind so much, it's the older folk that make me uncomfortable

And... yeah everyone in my family seems to find their way & visits my blog(s)....awkward.

I think everyone can relate to me when I say that relatives are nosy. They're hella nosy. Especially among ASIAN families. Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh***
